Why Our Parents Are Proud of Us

Welcome to Look North World, a dynamic video game studio and publisher dedicated to the Creator platforms. Our company was established by seasoned veterans of the gaming industry, including Alex Seropian, the visionary behind Bungie (Halo, Marathon) and Wideload Games (Stubbs the Zombie). While we find this pretty awesome, we're always eager to embrace what lies ahead!

At Look North World, our teams are driven by the pursuit of defining the future of creator platforms through constant experimentation. We forge strong connections with our vibrant Community by including them in the testing and iteration process. By reducing development time spent on infrastructure and honing in on what truly resonates with Players, we eliminate the uncertainty of whether years of hard work will ever see the light of day.

While we operate as a fully remote studio, we cherish the opportunity to gather in person a few times each year. Why? Because we genuinely love working together, fostering a sense of camaraderie and collaboration that fuels our creative endeavors.

We view these platforms as fertile ground for incubating new intellectual properties, innovative gameplay experiences, and forging incredible strategic partnerships. Our goal is to push the boundaries of what's possible, constantly striving to deliver unforgettable gaming experiences.

Join us on this exhilarating journey as we chart new paths, discover new frontiers, and bring your gaming dreams to life. Welcome to Look North World, where we embrace the future with open hearts.

HISTORY:

FORMATION

In the wake of EA's divestment in mobile games and closure of studios, including Alex Seropian's (Halo, Stubbs the Zombie) studio, Industrial Toys, Alex began a search for what was next. In the classic adventure sense, he started his new adventure by choosing to "Look North". Against serious games industry adversity, he set out to find prosperous ground to explore creatively for new emerging platforms. The answer came in the form of Epic announcing Unreal for Fortnite, along with a creator payment pool to incentivize serious development within Fortnite.

The prospect of releasing new games every 2-3 months, with experimental gameplay, and a massive audience, was too much of an opportunity to pass up. Look North World was born.

OUTLAW CORRAL

Inspired by the popularity of skill training maps in the first weeks of UEFN, the team settled on an initial concept to help Fortnite players train for end-game Battle Royale 1V1 showdowns. The western theme gave a chance for the team to have fun with a theme lending itself to a focused high-quality scope of effort. The game is now live on UEFN.
