We are looking for a community-oriented individual with a track record of building successful online communities to join our game development and publishing company as a Part-Time Contract Community Manager. As a Community Manager, you will play a vital role in building and nurturing our player community, fostering engagement, and facilitating positive interactions. This role is anticipated to be a remote work position open to most countries in North and South America.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement community engagement strategies to foster a positive and vibrant player community.
Monitor and moderate Discord, social media channels, and other online platforms to ensure compliance with community guidelines and promote a safe and inclusive environment.
Act as the primary point of contact for community inquiries, feedback, and concerns, providing timely and helpful responses.
Collaborate with the marketing and development teams to coordinate community initiatives, events, and promotions.
Create and manage engaging community content, including blog posts, newsletters, and social media updates.
Identify and recruit influential community members, content creators, and brand advocates to expand our reach and promote our games.
Analyze community feedback, sentiments, and data to generate insights and recommendations for improving player experiences.
Proactively identify and address potential community issues or conflicts, working to resolve them in a timely and professional manner.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, player preferences, and emerging community management techniques to continuously enhance community engagement strategies.
Report on community-related metrics and key performance indicators, providing regular updates to the management team.
Collaborate with the development team to advocate for community interests, ensuring that player feedback and suggestions are considered during the game development process.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in community management, preferably in the gaming industry, is a plus.
Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of gaming communities, platforms, and trends.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and connect with diverse audiences.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with community members.
Empathetic and patient approach to handling community concerns and conflicts.
Familiarity with community management tools, social media platforms, and online forum moderation.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote and dynamic environment.
Creative mindset with the ability to generate engaging community content and initiatives.
