Position Overview:

Join our team in creating innovative games for UGC platforms. As our Gameplay/React Engineer, you'll craft engaging user interfaces and gameplay systems that directly shape player experiences. This unique role combines web development expertise with game development, offering an opportunity to work at the intersection of these exciting fields.

We are not your typical game developer and publisher. We are pioneering a new category in the industry, driven by our passion for creating groundbreaking gameplay experiences and expanding the boundaries of interactive entertainment. Our unique approach revolves around building new gameplay and intellectual property (IP) within Creator marketplaces, with our initial focus being on Unreal for Fortnite (UEFN). Currently operating in Stealth mode until mid-July, our company is the brainchild of a team of seasoned game developers who bring a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success. We understand success requires humility to build trust by delivering games true to the audience on these platforms, and by listening and engaging directly with the Player base. You will be key in shaping our conversation with our players.

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years of professional experience with React and web frontend development

  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript

  • Solid understanding of HTML5 and CSS3

  • Experience with game development (professional or hobby projects)

  • Understanding of basic game networking concepts

  • Strong problem-solving and collaborative skills

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with build systems (esbuild, rsbuild)

  • Version control systems, preferably Perforce

  • Experience with real-time multiplayer games concepts such as RPCs, replication, and prediction

  • UI/UX design sensibilities

Your Impact:

  • Design and implement custom game UI components using React and TypeScript

  • Collaborate with designers and developers to create engaging gameplay systems

  • Contribute to technical architecture decisions

  • Participate in regular playtesting sessions to ensure quality and fun

  • Help shape our games through direct player feedback and community engagement
